Radio-retractable barrier bollards at the end of Grünsinker Straße - the feasibility is currently being examined by the administration of the municipality of Weßling.
Mayor Michael Sturm informed the local councils at their meeting this week about the project, a cost plan is not yet available.
Weßling
- Grünsinker Strasse was once the main traffic artery between the A 96 motorway and Weßling. After the bypass was completed, the busy state road became a pedestrian and cycle path. A barrier at the bypass shortly after the motorway exit prevents motorists from shortening the promenade. There is no barrier at the Grünsinker Chapel. And until there, a few confused people regularly follow their GPS and then suddenly stand in front of the signposted footpath and bike path. Some turn around - others don't want to believe it and drive on.
Most of them then have an understanding at the electrical barrier.
But some of them become palpable.
"The radio-operated electrical barrier at the western end of Grünsinker Strasse has often been deliberately damaged in recent years," reported Sturm.
A retractable bollard is now intended to replace the barrier, and another near the chapel will stop motorists.
Advantages and disadvantages as well as costs are currently being examined by the administration, explained Sturm.
In one of the next meetings, the municipal council would have to decide.
The speed limit has already been implemented.
Coming from Weßling to the large parking lot, you are only allowed to drive 60 km / h, after that the speed limit is 30.
