2021-10-22T08:48:31.119Z

Your next family experience will include pizza, games and a children's book in one special kit. • Meet Shpachik

If you crave new ideas for spending time with the kids at home, especially during the holidays, but not only - get to know Shepchik: a kit that includes ingredients for making a family pizza, along with games and a children's book, and can help you create quality time with the offspring.

The case was brought to the world air by Barak Nativ and Dima Poleg.

Nativ (42) from Givat Ada and Poleg (40) from Rehovot, but the distance does not prevent them from being good friends and partners in the "Zaitz" graphic design studio.

"The product is a package that connects the world of family activities with the preparation of the pizza," says Nativ.

"We thought about it back in the first Corona period, when we were in closures at home and the kids climbed the walls, and it created a lot of tension between parents and children. We were looking for a solution that could create a reunion and reconnection of a family experience."

What is in the kit actually?

Poleg: "A children's book that we wrote and illustrated, that the family sits together and reads, and is the one that motivates action."

Path: "In the middle of the reading, we move on to board games - we invented a 'truth or duty' game that is suitable for small children, with all kinds of tasks and activities with humor. The goal is to have fun while waiting for pizza."

The kit, which costs NIS 220-299, includes a children's book, a "truth or duty" game with cards, a rolling pin - which replaces the bottle in the game - a reading page and colors, aprons and hats for children, and certificates at the end of the session.

In addition, there are four dough balls in the kit, two containers of pizza sauce, and mozzarella cheese from "Hebrew Farm".

"We have adapted its kit and graphic design to all types of families," says Nativ.

And how are the reactions?

Lane: "Usually very surprised, families who received the package imagined it smaller and were surprised to see how much it manages to contain. The character we created, Shpachik, accompanies the whole story - it appears in both the book and the games, and a strong connection is created between the children and the character.

"We put a letter and an envelope in the case, and children can contact Shpachik, and a lot of children actually send letters to this character and we reply to them on WhatsApp."

The venture only started about five months ago, and is currently only sold on the site, as it is a product that comes frozen, but the two members already have more ideas for more things to come.

"We want to develop more products," says Poleg.

"More family experiences beyond pizza - Shabbat challah, pasta and other things."

Shpachik, kosher at Beit Yosef High Court, packages starting at NIS 220.
