Motorist dies in a head-on collision in the Gifhorn district

A driver died in a collision between two cars on federal highway 188 in the Gifhorn district.

The 22-year-old man died of his injuries that night at the scene of the accident in the municipality of Meinersen, the police said.

The three occupants of the oncoming car, a 27-year-old, his 22-year-old partner and their child, were seriously injured.

Meinersen - How the head-on collision at Ahnsen came about is still being investigated.

Both vehicles caught fire and were towed away.
