Nuremberg: Marientunnel will be closed until summer 2023

From October 26th, the Marientunnel in Nuremberg * will be closed for about one and a half years.

Traffic through the tunnel should then flow again in the summer of 2023.

As a result of the construction work, several streets at the southern tunnel entrance are closed to traffic: Scheurlstrasse, Köhnstrasse and the Regensburger Strasse intersection.

There is now only one bus lane on which pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site in addition to the VAG buses.

You can only get into the city from the east through Marienstraße.

If you come from Bahnhofplatz, you cannot turn left into Marienstraße.

Due to track construction work by VAG, car traffic on Bahnhofstrasse between Bahnhofsplatz and Reindelstrasse only has one lane in both directions.

For pedestrians and cyclists, detours are signposted on site, which the Sör will add to in the coming weeks.
