The heads of government of the federal states have criticized the actions of the Belarusian ruler Alexander Lukashenko as unacceptable.

"To put pressure on the European Union to take advantage of the plight of people, to give them visas to Belarus and then to bring them across the western border into the European Union, is inhuman", said the chairman of the Conference of Prime Ministers (MPK), the North Rhine-Westphalian Prime Minister Armin Laschet (CDU), on Friday in Königswinter.
