Óscar Montes de Oca, attorney general of Quintana Roo, tells CNN that the Mexican state is working to increase its security capacity and that it has requested the support of all levels of government to achieve this.
The statement comes hours after an armed attack in the tourist center of Tulum, in which two foreigners were killed and three more people were injured.
