The reason is the still increased demand, said the spokesman for the administration, Jan Thomsen.
"This is intended to compensate for the after-effects of the roughly two-month lockdowns at the beginning of 2020 and 2021, in which no tests could take place."
Berlin - The law actually stipulates a maximum period of twelve months between passing the theoretical exam and the date of the practical exam.
The previous extension would have expired on October 31st.

“The extension is already the fourth with this background, but it will definitely be the last, also in order not to let the time span between the theoretical and practical test become too long,” Thomsen continues.
