It's almost like a miracle: four children are hit by a car and dragged along for a short distance.
Nevertheless, a boy (six years old) and a girl (eight) "only" suffer minor injuries.
The other two survive the horror accident unscathed.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen
- Said collision occurred on Friday morning in Garmisch-Partenkirchen - more precisely: on Schornstrasse. There a local - coming from the vocational school - wanted to turn right into Fritz-Müller-Strasse in her car at around 11.15 a.m. During this maneuver, the 46-year-old Garmisch-Partenkirchen woman overlooked the children who wanted to cross the lane with their scooters, according to the police. The quartet was hit by the car. Two of them had to be brought to the hospital for further treatment by the ambulance service with abrasions. Two seven-year-old girls - from the Olympic town - got away with the horror.
So in the end the traffic accident ended lightly.
However, the incident ensured that three police patrols, the Partenkirchen fire brigade with 24 men in five vehicles, the Red Cross and the crisis intervention service moved out.
The perpetrator is now being investigated for negligent bodily harm in road traffic.
