The Council of Pre-Military Preparatory Schools reported this morning (Friday) a violent attack and injury of a number of students, which occurred last night, by Arab rioters near the Avner Preparatory School in Acre.

The incident took place at night and the attackers, about 15 in number, wore black clothes, some mounted on electric bicycles, acted together in coordination and violently attacked the mechina trainees, who fled to the mechina director's home.
The director general of the Preparatory Council, Danny Zamir, said of the incident:
It is not possible for trainees to prepare in mixed cities and not at all feel safe walking the streets.
We call on the Israel Police to act immediately and decisively in order to restore security to the trainees and principals of the preparatory schools.
We did not shy away from this terrible violence, and as early as next week we will advance a process of support for preparatory schools from all over Israel at the Avner Preparatory School in Acre. "
