"As of today, we have used up almost all of the savings available for the country," said Taubert on Friday in the Thuringian state parliament.
She calculated that Thuringia had to take out around 1.2 billion euros in loans in 2020 because of the corona pandemic.
Erfurt - In the current year, a loan of around 288 million euros is planned.
In addition, it is planned to withdraw around 1.16 billion euros from the reserves in the current year.
In the coming year, the remaining 687 million euros are to be withdrawn in full.
The pension fund is to be dissolved and the remaining 149 million euros in it will be withdrawn in the coming year.
Taubert spoke of a U-turn in the estimate of future expenses.
So far, the actual expenditure has often been lower than the budgeted one.
