Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha stated on October 21 that starting next month, travelers from 46 countries or regions who have been vaccinated against the new coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) will not need to be quarantined when entering Thailand.
The figure is more than the 10 countries previously announced.
According to the list published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, travelers from countries or regions such as China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States can be exempted from quarantine.
Prayut said that as long as tourists enter Thailand by plane, are fully vaccinated, and have documents proving that they are free of the virus, they do not need to be quarantined.
Thailand will open the capital Bangkok and other major tourist attractions, such as Hua Hin and Pattaya
Thailand is expected to add more low-risk countries to the list of exempt quarantine on December 1 and January 1.
