Hours after he was arrested on suspicion of murdering his mother this morning (Friday) in Beit Shemesh, the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court decided to extend the detention of the 27-year-old, who was arrested at the scene shortly after the incident and transferred for questioning.
The deceased, 52, was found at her home with stab wounds on her body.
Medical teams called to the scene determined her death.
Immediately afterwards, the police opened an investigation, with forensic teams collecting findings from the scene.
The ZAKA told "Israel Today": "The arena was very difficult.
There were a lot of people inside the house, some not mentally healthy, and we also took care of the children who cried on the spot.
The area knows them and has never heard of any problems with them.
The son who allegedly murdered her was supposed to be in a mental health institution and not in his home. "

The murdered woman's neighbors told Israel Today that her son "looked a little strange, but did not look dangerous and did not think he could do such a thing. They knew here that he was being treated with pills and was coming in and out of hospital."
They added that last night he behaved strangely, walked around the street, knocked on doors and asked the neighbors for cigarettes.
