But that's exactly what a student mother demands.
Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen - Sabina Kieslich is the mother of a tenth grader at the Geretsrieder secondary school.
This is particularly burdened with currently 32 positive cases in 13 different classes.
But also at numerous other schools - from elementary to vocational school - the list of positive results is getting longer and longer.
In the past school year, all the children in a class were sent to isolation if there was a positive case, now it is only the direct contact persons.
“That's not right how it goes.
We parents send our children to school healthy and have to expect that they will come home infected and, among other things, infect siblings, parents and other contact persons, ”says Kieslich.

Mother calls for the reintroduction of the mask requirement in class
With the regulation to send the whole class into quarantine, it was also possible to supervise the whole class in distance teaching. "Now the two or three people affected are sitting at home and have to see how they can cope on their own," says Kieslich. As an immediate protective measure, she calls for the reintroduction of the mask requirement in class.
However, this is not generally provided for by the requirements of the Bavarian Ministry of Culture. According to the current Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance, the responsible district administrative authority could take “additional protective measures, especially in the event of a regionally high outbreak event”. And yes, there is currently an increasing number of cases in schools. However, it is unclear whether the infection really happens in class or in leisure time and only through constant testing in school. As a result of the tests, the likelihood of an infection in a school is significantly lower than in the private sector. In addition, positive children can be identified more quickly and chains of infection can be broken. "We try with the possibilities available to usto create the basis for long-term and, above all, safe face-to-face teaching, ”says District Administrator Josef Niedermaier on request. Try to do justice to everyone, "and not react hyper-nervous".
The infection rate is also increasing outside of schools
According to Niedermaier, he understands that the loosening of the rules is causing uncertainty among some parents.
“Last school year everything was handled radically strict, this year the easing is just as radical.
That is not exactly conducive to trust in politics.
However, you have learned something new and can also reassess the risks for children on the basis of scientific principles. "
But the number of positive findings also increases dramatically beyond the infection rate in schools and day-care centers. Most recently, the number of new infections was so high that the health department was no longer able to keep up with the daily updates when processing the cases and reporting them to the Robert Koch Institute. For example, the laboratories have currently reported 699 positive cases to the agency. However, only 576 are registered with the RKI, because the health department has to contact each case before reporting. The determination of the other contact persons is delayed accordingly. "Last week we requested personal support from the government, as stipulated by the ministry's requirements, in order to get this under control," says Niedermaier. "So far there has only been one and a half positions."
One or the other festival has led to an abundance of infections
Of course, he is concerned about the increasing number of infections.
"That's not funny.
But some don't care about any precautionary measures at all. ”In general,“ I once again ask all those who have not been vaccinated to finally do something ”.
The infection rate in the district is still diffuse.
However, it has already been shown that one or the other larger festival has resulted in an abundance of infections.
Often the district office only finds out about it afterwards.
"We'll investigate in order to get as many contacts as possible." Niedermaier once again appeals to reason: "If someone gets infected, be honest and let your contacts know what's going on!"
