The theatrical show ended with a time-out by writer Joanne Jean, prepared and directed by Hussein Sakhieh and Wajib Druze, the third Maghout theater festival, which was hosted on the stage of the Cultural Center in Salamiyah over a period of six days.
The idea of the closing show of the festival, whose roles were played by Ali Abdel Hamid, Khaled Mahfoud, and Saba Ayoub, revolved around criticizing the phenomena of corruption and the decline of morals in people's lives in a comic format.
In statements to a reporter, director Sakhieh said, "The theatrical show deals with two characters (duodrama) who suffer from moral decadence, each of them has a sin he committed in advance, and when they meet in a park by chance while the convoy of an influential person passes by, they go back in time and remember what they had previously committed until they reach the end. To the stage of disclosure,” indicating that the message of the show is that life depends on high morals and that the homeland is built only with sincerity, love and peace, and that good will triumph no matter how severe the evil and how long the night.
Ali Abdel Hamid, a theater actor, pointed out that the show's message is that morality is a characteristic of the Syrians, and that the play aims to invite everyone to stand up to this fierce campaign called moral corruption.
It is noteworthy that the Al-Maghout Theater Festival witnessed a large audience of followers, interested people and lovers of art and theater, and a large group of teams participated in its performances that performed important works worthy of the name and stature of the late great writer and poet Muhammad Al-Maghout.
