The Turkish newspaper Sabah published that one of the suspects admitted that he worked with the Mossad, passed information to him and was even instructed in encrypting files in Switzerland.

Turkey is in turmoil following the espionage case in which 15 people of Arab descent in the country were arrested on the grounds that they were spying for Israel in the service of the Mossad.

The Turkish newspaper Sabah published this morning (Friday) that one of the suspects admitted that he worked with the Mossad, passed information to him and was even instructed in encrypting files in Switzerland.

According to the revelation, the detainee, identified by the acronym MS, claimed to have received tens of thousands of euros for the information he passed on to the Mossad, over a period of several years. "I am interested in information about civic organizations operating in Turkey," the detainee explained in an affidavit he submitted.

MAS allegedly provided the Mossad with information on several occasions, including information about Palestinians arriving at Istanbul airports during the Corona plague.

The man, whose age and national identity were not disclosed, further said that agent MS persuaded him to come to Switzerland, where he was trained in encrypting Word files for use in encrypted messaging services.

"I went to the Swiss consulate to get a visa to enter Switzerland. I got it within an hour. MS received me when I arrived in Switzerland, he gave me hundreds of euros and housed me in a hotel. He was 44, married with three little girls. The day after I arrived he taught me "How to encrypt Word files with the help of the" Frontomail "service, he gave me an additional 2,000 euros and left," said M.S.
