The Presidency of the Shura Council of the Republic of Yemen condemned the treacherous terrorist bombing that targeted a military overnight bus in Damascus yesterday.
The commission confirmed in a statement issued today that the terrorist act is condemned in form and content by all political, legal and humanitarian standards, noting that it "comes at a time when sister Syria has begun to emerge from its crisis and is heading towards political and diplomatic détente."
The statement pointed out that "the terrorist bombing primarily serves the enemies of Syria who are disturbed by all the field achievements it has achieved with the awareness of the steadfast Syrian people and their standing behind their leadership in facing all challenges."
The Yemeni Shura Council expressed "full solidarity with the brotherly Syrian people in the face of terrorism and the conspiracies it is exposed to," stressing "confidence that Syria and its people will overcome all challenges and criminal schemes targeting it and move towards restoring its national and regional role and position in the region."
Yesterday, 14 martyrs were killed and a number of others were injured as a result of a terrorist detonation of two explosive devices targeting a military overnight bus as it passed near the President Bridge in Damascus.
