Trafficking and exploitation of human beings on the rise in France according to a report from the Ministry of the Interior

The offenses of trafficking and exploitation of human beings recorded in France increased by 31% between 2016 and 2019, that is to say before the particular period of health crisis, indicated Friday (October 22) a service dependent on the Ministry of the Interior.

In 2019, 933 procedures for trafficking or exploitation of human beings were opened by the police and gendarmerie services, against 710 in 2016. On the other hand, “
