TSV Dachau 1865 is heading into the future with big goals after the corona crisis.

The board and members are motivated and well positioned.

And now the popular sports club is offering - as the only one in a wide area that is not by the sea or a lake!

- also has a surfing department.

Dachau

- The youngest annual meeting of the traditional TSV Dachau 1865 took place this year in a "special setting", as the second chairwoman Gabi Siegl remarked when welcoming the around 80 members and 20 guests. The 65s did not meet this time in the Jahnhalle, for reasons of Corona, of course, as they usually do “in business”.

The pandemic was of course also a topic in the report by Chairman Wolfgang Moll. “My God, what weird and strange times were those for our club!” The mood was “spooky”: “We weren't allowed to use our sports facilities and still had to take care of it.” But the club had mastered the challenge, the membership was With around 2400, the lockdown was largely stable, and the cash position was also not damaged thanks to the solidarity of the TSV team. Sure, the employees had to be sent on short-time work; The instructors would also have waived part of their flat-rate expenses. All in all, however, according to Moll, it was a “great experience” to see how the 16 departments and their members, together with the patrons and sponsors, continued to stand at the TSV.

Moll himself also stands next to the TSV, as chairman.

He was unanimously elected, as was Gabi Siegl as deputy, Gabi Wortmann as third chairwoman, Michaela Huber as treasurer, Udo Grönbold as secretary, Julian Niedermeier as youth leader and Simona Balherr as second youth leader.

Klaus Bambach, Helmut Erhorn, Gerd Flegel, Katja Kahlert, Harry Kaltner, Wolfgang Salvermoser, Franz Scherm, Martin Schmidberger, Marcus Seibt and Jürgen Seidl serve as advisory boards.

The head of the election was also the BLSV district chairman Günter Dietz, who, according to his own admission, is happy to finally be able to go to on-site meetings again.

“To be locked up for a year and a half is absolutely not for me,” he explained to those present and then led through the “election marathon” in a good mood.

Gabi Siegl praised: “Günter does it in an inimitable way.” His “routine” in the election management “is just noticeable”.

Denise Kunze and Kilian Bachmann spread a good mood.

The two are the contact persons for the newest TSV department;

Surfing!

According to Moll, this sport “more or less swam towards us”.

Kunze and Bachmann thanked the members kindly for “giving us a place in the club”.

In the long term, TSV surfers want to surf the planned artificial wave at Mühlbach in the future MD district.

As reported, the city, the water management authority and Isaria München Projektentwicklungs GmbH, which owns the MD site, agreed with the idea.

It's just “a bit uncomfortable when you queue for three days at the Eisbach (in Munich).

That's why we need something like that in Dachau, ”said Kunze, describing the plan.

But before it is so far that people actually surf in Dachau, the department members will meet to snowboard in winter, train their fitness together in the club and ride the waves in the region.

And they have not yet given up the dream of possibly being able to pursue their sport on the Amper.

The young people can be sure of the support of the Board of Directors.

In general, according to Moll, the TSV can be proud of the fact that almost half of its members are under 18 years of age.

The surf group, which, by the way, had come together in the Dachau skate park, was “an asset to the club.

We are excited".

Denise Kunze wants to justify the trust and promised: "We will do our best!"
