Motorists from West Kowloon to Hong Kong Island should use the Hung Hom Cross-Harbour Tunnel and the Eastern Cross-Harbour Tunnel.

The Transport Department predicts that Nathan Road and its surrounding areas, Argyle Street, Wylie Road, Gascoigne Road flyover, West Kowloon Corridor and Hung Hom Cross Harbour Tunnel will be more congested than usual on Sundays, among which Gascoigne Road Long queues may appear on the flyover and West Kowloon Corridor.

Road closure in the New Territories

As the full marathon will use the Cheung Tsing Highway, Cheung Tsing Tunnel and Nan Wan Tunnel to the Kowloon direction, the traffic from the Lantau Link (Tsing Ma Bridge) to the Kowloon direction must be diverted via Tsing Yi Northwest Interchange, Tsing Yi North Coast Highway, Tsing Yi Tsuen Road, Tsuen Wan Road, Kwai Chung Road, Cheung Sha Wan Road and Lai Chi Kok Road.

It is expected that traffic congestion along the North Lantau Highway, Tsing Ma Bridge and Tsing Yi Northwest Interchange may be congested by then.

The road closure will not affect vehicles travelling from Hong Kong Island/Kowloon/New Territories East to Hong Kong International Airport and Lantau Island.

As for vehicles travelling from the New Territories West via Tuen Mun Road or Tai Lam Tunnel to the airport and Lantau Island, due to the closure of the Ting Kau Bridge (toward Kowloon), they must be diverted via Tsuen Wan Road, Tsuen Tsing Interchange, Tsing Tsuen Road, Tsing Tsuen Road, and Tsing Kau Bridge.
