She herself was one of the critically injured.

Among other things, the girl was to be guaranteed therapeutic help with the money.

She should somehow manage to come to terms with the terrible deed.

The action found numerous supporters.

Donors from all over Germany - both private individuals and companies - wanted to help the eleven-year-old.

Sometimes there were individual donations of up to 25,000 euros.

In the end, around 200,000 euros were raised.

"Nobody of us would have thought that the whole republic would get involved and that it would be so well received," said Judith Jörg, second chairwoman of the association, in an interview with

"Our job is now to transfer the money to the girl."

Assassination attempt in Würzburg: bureaucratic hurdles make handing over donations difficult

The eleven-year-old, who is now staying with her father and brother, has not yet received any of the money.

So far, bureaucratic hurdles have prevented a transfer.

Because the sum is so high that she could lose her social benefits as a result.

In addition, she would still have to pay tax on the amount.

The association has now teamed up with the tax office and tax experts in order to still be able to help the girl.

The alleged assassin was examined by two experts.

They independently determined that the 32-year-old was incapable of guilt.

A lawsuit can still occur.

The man could then be admitted to a mental health facility.
