Three people were killed today in a fire that broke out inside a restaurant in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
The Jordan News Agency (Petra) quoted the media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate as saying that "the firefighting and ambulance teams of the Civil Defense Directorate dealt today with a fire that broke out inside a restaurant near the University of Jordan, which resulted in the death of three people."
The spokesman stated that an investigation was launched to find out the causes and circumstances of the fire.
