With the participation of about 6,000 male and female students from the first year of secondary school from different governorates, the competitions of the new season of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and informatics were launched today.
The tests of the first stage were organized over an hour and a half, at the same time in various governorates, with automated and standardized question models aimed at measuring students' logical mathematical thinking.
SANA accompanied the tests in Damascus and at the Faculty of Law at Damascus University, where the media advisor at the Excellence and Creativity Commission Malik Hammoud stated that the Olympiad competitions this season are held with a new mechanism amid an encouraging participation that was paved by the initiative of members of the Association of Excellence and Creativity Alumni Association within the Olympiad ambassadors project and their tour of schools in the provinces To introduce the first secondary students to the Olympiad.
Hammoud explained that the participating students are among the successful students in the basic education certificate with a total of 2800 and above in the basic education certificate and a mark of 2620 and above in the cosmic subjects of the Sharia preparatory school, in addition to 31 male and female students from the basic education stage and the winners of the gold and silver medals in the Science Olympiad for Adolescents 2021.
