A plainclothes policeman observed two so-called dancers in Berlin-Kreuzberg while their cell phones were stolen, followed them and arrested one of them.
The two men first involved tourists in a conversation on Schlesische Strasse on Friday evening, as the officials announced on Saturday.
One of the duo danced to a man and pulled his cell phone out of his pocket.
Berlin - Before the police officer could inform his colleagues, the thief handed the cell phone over to his accomplice.
The tourists and the police chased the fleeing thieves.
The 27-year-old dancer was caught but resisted and sprayed pepper spray.
The officers suffered slight eye irritation.
The other fugitive ran away unrecognized with the cell phone.
