Clinicians, employees and established gynecologists raise serious allegations against the management of the Dachau hospital.

Dachau -

It's about processes in gynecology and obstetrics in the Helios Amper Clinic in the past few weeks.

Helios defends himself against the allegations.

But the good reputation of the Dachau Women's Clinic has been damaged.

In the room are the allegedly unjustified eviction of the chief doctor of gynecology and obstetrics, poor working conditions, concern for patients - and the fear that Helios wants to merge the gynecological department in Dachau with the clinic in Pasing. But the Dachau clinic bosses vehemently reject all these accusations and allegations and affirm the opposite: The Dachau clinic is to be expanded - and with it the gynecology and obstetrics too.

The grievances that both employees and interns complained about began in mid-August when chief physician Professor Florian Ebner was no longer on duty overnight. In addition, doctors and secretarial staff went on vacation or called in sick. Operations had to be canceled and postponed, and sick patients were referred to Pasing. The resident gynecologists complain that they were not informed, that they could not reach anyone for weeks, that they did not know who was being operated on and whether they were being operated on at all. A gynecologist says: "If it can be avoided, I will no longer send my patients to Dachau."

But since October 1st there has been a temporary head of gynecology and obstetrics at the Helios Amper-Klinikum Dachau: Dr.

Sabine Keim, chief physician of gynecology in Pasing.

Together with the clinic's managing director Florian Aschbrenner and the medical director Hjalmar Hagedorn, she took a position on the allegations.

They vehemently contradict the assumptions of employees and gynecologists that the gynecological clinic in Dachau should be closed or merged with the location in Pasing.

On the contrary: “We want to advance gynecology,” said Professor Hagedorn.

Aschbrenner remained unclear whether the position of chief physician would be filled.
