Heavy equipment was already on the way between Peißenberg and Böbing this week, which has leveled an area for construction vehicles next to the road - it is the harbinger of the extension of the state road over a length of two kilometers, which is expected to last almost a year until September 2022.
Böbing - Particularly important for all motorists: For clearing work, the road must be closed to all traffic during the autumn holidays (November 2nd to 6th).
The diversion is made via Peiting and Rottenbuch and is signposted.
Depending on the weather, the further road construction work should then largely take place with half-way traffic closures.
For the Easter, Whitsun and summer holidays next year, however, road users will have to be prepared for further full closures, the state building authority in Weilheim announced.
Road users are asked to drive around the construction site extensively
In order to maintain school bus traffic in particular, the road between Peißenberg and Böbing cannot be continuously closed to all traffic.
"This is also the reason for the comparatively long construction time," they say.
During the entire construction period, road users are asked to avoid the construction site as much as possible.
Shifts due to weather conditions cannot be ruled out.
The measure with a volume of around 2.5 million euros is financed by the Free State of Bavaria.
The construction work will be carried out by the Strommer company from Schongau.
The state building authority asks the affected road users and residents for their understanding.
