Ismaning

- Sometimes the little things make a special quality of life and that's why the Ismaning municipality is planning to build four drinking water wells for the population in 2022.

This means that a two-year-old proposal from the SPD parliamentary group is now being implemented.

The original application was aimed at setting up drinking water wells and benches in the municipality.

With the unanimous decision of the municipal council, it has now been firmly decided that three fountains will be built in 2022 in the Bürgerpark, in the Hain and at the ice pond.

A fourth well is to be added later when the pump track system is implemented in the new Kernbachpark.

Sepp Steinkohl (FWG) told the administration that they should think about a fifth drinking water fountain in the sports park.

Costs between 9,000 and 18,000 euros

According to initial estimates, the wells cost between 9,000 and 18,000 euros.

In addition, depending on the location, there are a few thousand euros for laying the cables.

The community is happy to take this money in hand, because with public water dispensers in lively places, in addition to the service for citizens in increasingly longer periods of heat, they are also a sign of climate protection, because this can prevent the use of plastic bottles.

After examining potential locations, the Ismaning administration reported that some new benches had already been set up.

These are located in Dorfstraße, at the Seidlmühle or at the Eisweiher.

In the Isar floodplains, too, a new bench installation is planned near Fichtenweg.
