The industrial director of the Russian state corporation Rostec, Pekkhan Ozdoev, announced that the operational-tactical Iskander-E missile system demonstrated unprecedented accuracy during shootings outside Russia.
Ozdoev said in a statement to RIA Novosti news agency today, "The shooting took place in the territory of a foreign client of the organization, as a missile fired by the system cut a distance of 180 km and hit the target in the middle."
The target was a 30-square-meter square, on which items of old military equipment were placed.
The Iskander-e system is designed to destroy critical enemy targets at distances of just under 300 km. The system uses M723A9 ballistic missiles.
