Lenggries also dares: The “Magic Lights” Christmas market will take place on Saturday, December 4th - with slight changes.
Lenggries - "We are doing it - also because Mayor Stefan Klaffenbacher has promised us his support," explains Martina Müller, head of the Lenggries advertising association, on request.
Greater distance between the stands
So that there is not too much crowding between the stands, “we want to pull everything apart a little further,” says Müller.
The good thing is that the Lenggrieser Scheibn - the streets in the village center - offers a lot of space.
Otherwise, personal responsibility is required from the visitors.
To keep distances, “we have been brought up well for two years.
And in our shop I have noticed that it also works well, ”says Müller.
The start is brought forward to 1 p.m.
In general, she admits that she is already looking forward to the event with somewhat mixed feelings.
"On the one hand you are happy that something can take place again, on the other hand you hope that everything will go well."
In order to straighten out the market somewhat, the start will be brought forward from 3 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Families with children could perhaps stroll earlier.
Nikolaus also comes - but not on the Rathausplatz
Santa Claus is coming, of course - but he will not rally the children around him on the town hall square, as is usually the case.
Instead, the holy man is expected to roam the streets in the center of the village from 2 to 4 p.m. and distribute his packs.
Registrations from stand operators are available, says Müller.
“Our organizers checked that in advance,” she reports.
"I think we can get a good number back together."
In Bad Tölz and Benediktbeuern there is also the green light for the Christmas markets this year.
