Close cooperation with Deutsche Bahn makes this possible.

Landtag passes Land Doctors Act

The Saxon state parliament passed a law on Thursday to strengthen medical care in the countryside.

In the coming weeks, Deutsche Bahn is offering advice and information appointments on this according to its own information. The company said that extensive qualifications were required for work on the rail vehicles. The technical know-how should be conveyed through training and practical assignments. For this reason, the recruitment with an employment contract for the Cottbus plant took place as early as 2022 in order to have the team on board for the commissioning of the first maintenance hall in 2024.

The Leag, Deutsche Bahn and the state government are pulling together to shape the change actively and in the interests of the people in the region, said the State Secretary in the Brandenburg Ministry of Economics, Hendrik Fischer.

The cooperation between the two companies testifies to the shared responsibility to offer young people in the region in particular real, attractive professional prospects.

The plant is the first major project to be financed on the basis of the Federal Structural Strengthening Act.

Investments of one billion euros are planned from this.

The federal and state governments support the regions affected by the coal phase-out in Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and North Rhine-Westphalia in building sustainable jobs and new economic structures.
