- The Moosinningen municipal council has again discussed how to proceed with the (endless) topic of ailing leisure area.

And it looks like it is actually moving forward.

At least the committee has now spoken out in favor of a variant that includes a separate shower building and a new upper floor of the Riff sports café.

In the past few years, the municipal council at the leisure area has passed, changed and repealed various resolutions. The topic was last on the agenda in February. It was decided to postpone the measure to 2022 based on the cost estimate by the specialist planners - who had estimated 2.6 million euros. In the meantime a working group has been formed, consisting of representatives of all parties or groups represented in the municipal council. Representatives of FC Moosinning were also regularly invited to these consultations in order to also incorporate the club's ideas.

As has now been reported in the local council, the working group considered and discussed three variants in five meetings.

Variant A: New construction of a sports and functional building including additional expansion and outdoor facilities costs;

Variant B: New construction of a sports and functional building including additional expansion and outdoor facilities costs with reduced cubature (six shower rooms);

Variant C: New construction of a sports building with eight showers in the area of the main square as well as demolition and construction of the upper floor Riff.

In each case, the next steps were discussed with the buildings of the former Riff sports café / clubhouse and grandstand.

According to the proposal for a resolution, the situation is that in all three variants, the two old buildings will continue to exist, some in a condition that is in dire need of renovation.

"The representatives of the respective parliamentary groups voted unanimously in favor of variant C," said Mayor Georg Nagler (SPD). The upper floor of the former reef / tennis home is to be demolished and upgraded with a new upper floor. Among other things, they want to set up a kiosk with seating there. "Option C is the most practical solution for everyone," said Christian Nagler (BB). "And the kiosk is urgently needed for the leisure area." For Leo Brenninger (BE) it is clear: "FC Moosinning needs something, the conditions there are currently under all cannon."

The speakers of the other groups joined in, and Manfred Lex (CSU) thanked the working group, "which worked sensibly and cleanly and found a good solution".

Helmut Scharlach (BB) finally praised "the good cooperation", but pointed out: "The 2.6 million euros will not be enough."

The municipal council finally unanimously repealed two resolutions from 2019 and is now continuing the planning for a separate shower building and the renovation of the upper floor of the reef.

Mayor Nagler is also authorized by the local council to hold talks with the specialist planners and work out individual solutions.
