A driver from Poing was critically injured in a serious accident at Pliening.
The police have a clear guess as to the cause.

- The Poing police from Gelting (municipality of Pliening) reported a "traffic accident with personal injury" on Friday evening.
Accordingly, around 8:45 p.m. on Markt Schwabener Strasse, around 500 meters from the entrance to Gelting, a car raced into a field and overturned.
The 44-year-old driver turned right off the lane with his VW Passat due to a currently unknown cause without any other vehicles involved, rolled over and finally came to a stop in an adjacent field.
This is reported by the Poinger inspection.
Accordingly, the man from Poing sustained life-threatening injuries and was immediately taken to the Harlaching hospital.
Accident alone and on the open road: suspected alcohol consumption by the driver (44)
Since there were indications that the driver was drunk, the investigators continued, the public prosecutor ordered an accident report and a blood sample.
Due to the work of the accident expert, Markt Schwabener Strasse was closed in both directions on Saturday night until around 00:30 a.m.
The Gelting volunteer fire brigade was on duty here.
The car in the accident was then towed away and the lane was released again.
According to an estimate by the officials, the property damage amounts to approx. 17,500 euros.
