And Agence France-Presse quoted sources at the Peruvian Ministry of Health as saying yesterday, “25 deaths from corona have been recorded during the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 200 thousand and 3 cases since the outbreak of the epidemic in March 2020, while the total number of infections reached two million and 200 thousand.”

According to an agency census based on official data, Peru records the highest death rate relative to its population, with 6,065 deaths per million inhabitants.

Peru comes after Brazil and Mexico in terms of the number of corona deaths in Latin America.
