Pliening - Two and a half years after its founding, the Pliening local association of Bündnis90 / Die Grünen has elected the board of directors according to schedule - and got a new spokeswoman: Petra Schepanski.

She succeeds Tina Lucka.

The local councilor, who is busy full-time and voluntarily (here she is also the local council's child and youth representative), was no longer running for election.

Your previous board colleagues already: Konrad Weinstock-Adorno and Margrit Pricha (also local councilor) were again unanimously elected.

The vote for Petra Schepanski was just as clear at the annual general meeting.

She has been active with the Plieninger Greens since the local association was founded in March 2019.

In the local elections, it was possible to get four candidates (Lucka, Pricha, Brigitte Freund and Gabriele Heigl) into the local council straight away.

This makes the Greens the second largest parliamentary group after the CSU (nine members, including Mayor Roland Frick).

Petra Schepanski, who has lived with her family in Pliening for 28 years, was among other things on the board of the Plieninger tennis club for 16 years, the local association informs. In a press release following the annual general meeting, Schepanski said that sustainability and a healthy, environmentally conscious future were very important to her. The new chairwoman is quoted as saying: “That's why I got involved there immediately after the Greens were founded in Pliening. I was able to experience how much commitment and passion the members and especially the four local councilors invest in the matter in order to make Pliening fit for the future in addition to the many other important issues also in terms of the environment and energy Local association take responsibility themselves.
