SSW elects new chairman: Meyer does not run again

The SSW will elect a new chairman on Saturday at a state party conference (9 a.m.) in Harrislee near Flensburg. Flemming Meyer will not run again after 16 years at the head of the South Schleswig voters' association. SSW MP Seidler starts "Mission Bundestag"

The South Schleswig Association of Voters (SSW), the party of the Danish and Frisian minorities, is represented in the Bundestag for the first time in around 70 years.

Stefan Seidler, who was elected to parliament on September 26, picked up his provisional ID card in Berlin on Tuesday afternoon.

He has also already received a notebook and an email address as well as other documents, Seidler told the German Press Agency on Tuesday.
