US authorities announced on Thursday the blocking of the importation of fresh tomatoes from two Mexican companies on the grounds that they use forced labor.
CNN spoke with workers from one of those companies, who share their experiences in terms of working conditions and housing.
As of this Friday, the company has not responded to a request for comment from CNN.
On the other hand, while the Mexican Ministry of Economy told CNN that it had no comment on the matter, the governor of San Luis Potosí - where the company is located - said that the situation of all agricultural workers in the state will be investigated.
