Munich- The process of the letter bomber in Heidelberg: A 66-year-old is on trial because he is said to have sent several parcel bombs in February of this year, including to the Pfaffenhofen baby food multinational Hipp.
Blasts exploded at the headquarters of the Lidl * discounter in Neckarsulm and at a beverage manufacturer near Heidelberg, leaving four people injured.
On Friday, however, the question arose more and more: Is the right person on trial in Heidelberg?
Man sends package bombs: surveillance video should provide information
As the main evidence against the pensioner, the prosecution had presented a mug shot to show the accused.
You can see the man with an FFP2 mask *, hat and scarf who left the package bombs in a post office in Ulm.
But is that also the accused?
An expert from the defense stated: “Both are most likely not identical.” Further: “The defendant has an easy and straight gait.” He was bouncy on the move.
He also has straight shoulders.
The man in the video, on the other hand, has sloping shoulders.

Trial of the letter bomber: appraiser doubts evidence
The public prosecutor, who believes that the accused wanted to blackmail the company and had built the explosives, questioned the expert's statements: "The person in the post office does not want to be recognized." He could also pretend.
The appraiser admitted this and said: "I can fall for it."

The judge also asked critically.

The judge quoted another expert who said that the footage was not good enough for an identity exclusion.
In her opinion, there are more likely features that are similar.
The defendant had already declared his innocence when he was arrested in February.
He has now been released from custody as there is no longer any urgent suspicion.
