Last night (Friday), security forces thwarted an operation to smuggle weapons and drugs on the Lebanese border.
Police are investigating whether the smuggling attempt was carried out with the help of the terrorist organization Hezbollah.
The two pistols and 21 packages of drugs weighing about nine kilograms and worth about NIS 350,000, weighing about nine kilograms of hashish, were seized after a police unit and a force from the Golani Brigade were called to the border, after IDF observations identified suspects in the Metula area.
The IDF and police have launched an investigation to locate those behind the smuggling.
