Hapoel Beer Sheva defeated Hapoel Jerusalem 1: 3 tonight (Saturday), but in the stands there were ugly clashes between Jerusalem after the visiting fans lit a torch in the away game and immediately afterwards one of them was stopped and a big commotion began.
Hapoel Jerusalem's Facebook page reads: "This is what our stand at Turner has looked like since the break. Completely, and forcibly pull them out
"We are a group of fans. We are the crowd - and we give full back to the members of the stands. Hundreds of us came out in protest. This is not how this game should look like."
A police spokesman said: "During the game at Turner Stadium police officers arrested a suspect for lighting a torch during a football game and another suspect for assaulting police officers.
Hapoel BS celebrates Turner,
"Police officers on the scene acted to arrest a suspect and arrest another fan for assaulting police officers. The Israel Police takes any incident in which the wild behavior of fans endangers their environment and works resolutely to keep them away for the safety of the normative fan base."
