Leipzig - Because of the lockdown, we couldn't offer her a real stage, ”said press spokesman Dirk Steiner.

That is why the Gewandhaus is taking a step back as a jubilee at the open house - even if the new concert hall itself is celebrating its 40th birthday this year.

Club Culture Day celebrates Berlin nightlife

The Berlin nightlife is back: Club culture day is celebrated in more than 40 locations on Sunday.

The program includes panel discussions and workshops, performances and exhibitions, club nights, raves and boat tours.

There are also prizes for the clubs in the amount of 10,000 euros each.

The awards focus on two main topics:

Musicians in different constellations are supposed to give small concerts at different places in the house.

Companions of the composer Gubaidulina also want to be there - including bassist Alexander Suslin and pianist Elisaveta Blumina.

The 3G rule applies to the event.

Guests must therefore be tested, recovered or vaccinated.
