You have invested a lot of time and passion in your volunteer work.

But only now, due to the corona, Erdweg's mayor Christian Blatt was able to approve and honor twelve local councilors.

Erdweg - Finally it was possible to say goodbye to the resigned Erdweger municipal councilors from the 2014 to 2020 electoral period with a small evening of honor in a dignified setting.

This included a wonderful buffet in the community center in Kleinberghofen, to which Mayor Christian Blatt had not only invited the former members of the council, but also the town hall staff, along with manager Robert Wagner and building authority manager Renate Treml, who were closely connected to the council due to the meeting service.

In his review of the past term of office, Blatt spoke of no ordinary election period, but of a time marked by a great stroke of fate, with new things and many changes.

It all started in 2014 with a new first mayor.

Georg Osterauer replaced Michael Reindl in this office after 34 years in office, and Blatt himself became 2nd mayor.

In addition, many new faces moved into the now elected municipal council.

After an initial search phase and an informative community retreat, “a good community political round for the benefit of the Erdweg community”, said Blatt in his speech.

Then, however, after a short term in office, Georg Osterauer fell seriously ill and died in May 2017. "That was a big shock for everyone in the town hall, local council and also in the citizenry," emphasized Blatt.

New elections were therefore necessary in September 2017, in which he was elected 1st and Otmar Parsche 2nd mayor.

Michaela Micheli moved up for Christian Blatt on the CSU list in the local council.

But despite the many upheavals and events, many decisions have been made in the six years since 2014, important things have been initiated or completed. There were about 195 meetings of the parish council and its committees. Among other things, around 230 resolutions on building permits were passed there, as well as around 180 resolutions on land use plans and / or construction plans. As “highlights” in this electoral period, the community chief described, among other things, the wind power and asylum issues, the establishment of the Erdweg cultural association, the Erdweg community chronicle, the broadband expansion II, the introduction of the community festival, the construction of footpaths and cycle paths in Unterweikertshofen-Welshofen, land sales for building areas and the cooperation housing construction, the construction of two children's houses in Eisenhofen and Walkertshofen and the creation of transition groups, the leasing and opening of the Wirtshaus am Erdweg, a Glonninsel concept and the introduction of the electronic advice system RIS.

Blatt thanked the local council colleagues for their “constructive, factual, unbiased and harmonious cooperation during this turbulent time for the benefit of the Erdweg community and its citizens. This voluntary commitment, personal commitment, time and motivation deserves special recognition and thanks. "

At the end of the last electoral term, 12 people left the group, said Blatt, and with it 167 years of local political knowledge and experience.

In recognition and thanks, he presented all the resigned members with a gift.

These were: Michaela Micheli (3 years in office), Ramona Püschel (6 years in office), Maria Braun (6 years in office and as senior representative), Manfred Kircher (8 years), Bernhard Kellerer (12 years), Stefan Burghart (12 years) ), Helmut Steiner (18 years), Monika Sedlatschek (18 years in office and as 3rd mayor), Rainer Loderer (18 years), Peter Eisenhofer (18 years), Eva Rehm (24 years in office and as 2nd mayor) and Hans Mertl (24 years).
