A 94-year-old car driver with a trailer drove far too fast on the Hamburg-Berlin Autobahn at the weekend and caused closures for hours.
As a police spokeswoman explained on Sunday, the senior citizen from Berlin came into a skid with his team on Saturday evening between Suckow (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) and Putlitz (Brandenburg) because the trailer rocked.
Suckow / Putlitz - The caravan crashed into the middle guardrail, with debris flying onto the opposite lane and damaging three cars.
The 94-year-old ultimately stood across the road with his damaged team and was injured in a clinic.

Because of the severe damage, the central guardrail was separated and protruded into the opposite lane, the A24 had to remain closed for around three hours for recovery and repair.
The estimated property damage is comparatively not so high because the caravan was "a considerable age," said the spokeswoman.
The 94-year-old was alone on the way to the federal capital.
