The Israel Railways stated that "a person who entered the track area in violation of regulations near Netanya was hit by a passing train. Under the direction of the police, train traffic in the area was stopped."

"Unfortunately, his death was determined due to the nature of the serious injuries he suffered," said Rescue Union medic Eliezer Lifshitz.

"According to passers-by, he was hit by the train while working near the train tracks."

MDA paramedic Daniel Silok added: “We stopped with the intensive care unit on the edge of the coastal road and walked to the railway tracks.

The wounded man was lying unconscious and with a very severe injury to his upper body, we performed medical tests on him, he was without signs of life and had to determine his death on the spot. "
