Plastic art in Syria is full of new and remarkable details drawn by young Syrian creators of various disciplines.

The young plastic artist, Nour Stephanie Housh, is one of those creators who has been fascinated by plastic art since her early childhood and employed her energies and capabilities to produce works of art that reflect her unique style and character.

Sana culturally met with the plastic artist Nour, who stated that she focuses on human expressions in her works and loves to delve into their details away from the usual stereotypes such as happiness and sadness, which enables her to see in a deeper way that is reflected in her paintings.

Nour loves black colors, as it is used a lot in the style of portraiture, as it is a neutral color that has proven its presence and preserved its entity and control over the rest of the colors to create within a person different human feelings.

Regarding her interest in faces, Nour says, "When I reflect the human expression within lines and color spaces, this expression touches the recipient and remembers through it an experience he had in his life."

Among the works that she drew and occupies a place she has is the painting The Scream, which she participated in the Autumn Exhibition two years ago and acquired by the Ministry of Culture. She says, “It is an embodiment of the famous painting The Scream by Edvard Monk, but in my own sense, and it talks about two people, one screaming and the other knocking on the tambourine, and both of them stand on human remains. The lines in the painting overlap and the suffering, but the meanings of the body parts are multiple.”

Nour tries to make use of every space she finds suitable for writing with her pen and feather the faces and shapes she sees in front of her. She draws on cardboard reels, such as those used in textile laboratories, to form a creative masterpiece, in addition to that she always carries a wooden box containing small paper, pens and colors until she draws everywhere she sees fit. .

Nour has an upcoming art project that belongs to the style of digital art, which consists of parts of international paintings that she reconfigure into works of art, as this project is an intellectual meeting of artists from different schools in addition to her personal perspective.

It is noteworthy that Nour Stephanie Housh, a graduate of Fine Arts from the Arab International University, specializing in fashion design in 2012, participated in many exhibitions and won the first prize in water photography for the 2016 annual spring exhibition.
