Live broadcast from the cabinet meeting

Against the background of the rise in crime in the Arab sector, the government is expected to approve today (Sunday) at its weekly meeting the government's plan to combat violence and crime in Arab society.

This is a five-year program formulated by the Ministry of Internal Security in the amount of NIS 2.4 billion, to increase enforcement, fight crime and organized crime, and strengthen personal-community security.

The government will also discuss the five-year plan for socio-economic development in the Arab society of the Ministry of Social Equality, totaling more than NIS 30 billion in the years 2026-2022.

The plan will replace the previous five-year plan recognized in its serial number "922," approved by the Netanyahu government in late 2015, and includes budgets for education, infrastructure, transportation, education, welfare, technology entrepreneurship, sports, and more.

It was formulated by the Authority for Socio-Economic Development in the Arab Sector of the Ministry of Social Equality, headed by Minister Meirav Cohen, in cooperation with other government ministries and under the close guidance of RAAM Chairman Mansour Abbas and others in his party.
