The government today (Sunday) approved the economic plan to close gaps in Arab society.
The scope of the plan for the years 2026-2022 will be about NIS 30 billion, and as part of it, a series of moves will be promoted to reduce gaps in Arab society.
With regard to employment development, the program will work to increase the number of trainings for the professions required in the economy.
Emphasis will be placed on imparting skills in the Hebrew language in order to encourage quality integration in the employment market.
Daycare activities will also be expanded, in order to encourage Arab women to enter the labor force.
More than NIS 1.4 billion will be invested in these and other activities to encourage employment.
At the same time, the program will also operate in the field of technological innovation and high-tech.
The program will aim to increase the proportion of Arab students eligible for matriculation at the level of 5 units in mathematics, English and computer science, increase the proportion of graduates in high-tech subjects among Arab society, increase the proportion of Arab employed in the high-tech industry.
In addition, the program will also operate in the field of health services in the sector.

Regarding the housing and housing crisis, which is also known to affect the Arab sector, the plan will work to promote new construction, in which about 5,000 housing units will be marketed in 2022 and up to 9,000 units in 2026.
