A cashier defended herself against the robber in a robbery on her video store in Lahnstein and was injured by a shot from his alarm gun.
The stranger had threatened the woman with the gun on Saturday evening and demanded cash.
When the 46-year-old tried to knock the pistol out of the man's hand, the shot broke off.

The perpetrator reached into the cash register and escaped with a small amount of cash, as the police announced on Sunday morning.
The woman had to be treated in the hospital.
