Christmas markets are taking place again

Christmas markets are part of Advent like the Christmas tree is part of Christmas Eve. It's great that this year - after a pandemic-related break - there are some again this year.

Hausham

Hausham is planning a Christmas market on the second weekend of Advent - around the St. Anton church.

On Wednesday there was a discussion between Pastor Michael Mannhardt, Christian Baur from the trade association and the community.

"We want to do everything we can to organize a Christmas market for our citizens," says Mayor Jens Zangenfeind (FW).

People longed for social contact.

“We want to send a positive signal, especially during the Christmas season.” In the coming weeks, a concept will be developed.

“The gaps between the huts will be greater,” says Zangenfeind.

Fischbachau

In Fischbachau a Christmas market is to take place in the inner courtyard of the monastery on the weekend, 4th / 5th.

December.

According to the organizer Irmengard Findeis, the community has already written to 35 feeders to find out who is there.

“We have the advantage that there are only three entrances,” says Findeis.

"So we can easily count the visitors."

Miesbach

The Weihnachtsgasserl, which traditionally takes place on the last weekend of Advent, will be extended to all four Advent weekends this year, said Max Kalup from city marketing.

15 to 20 stalls on the lower market should be open from Friday to Sunday, 12 noon to 8 p.m.

"We are currently clarifying the hygiene measures."

In contrast, the Christmas market does not take place in the monastery garden.

“Because of the construction work on the future children's house, a relevant part of the area cannot be used,” says Andreas Brünner from the community foundation that organizes the market.

Bayrischzell

Usually the Christmas market is an indoor event in the town hall.

"But we don't have the staff to check the 3-G certificates and we don't have the space for a one-way rule," says organizer Sandra Sieber.

That is why this year the market takes place in front of the town hall, on the weekend, 27./28.

November.

Seven huts offer culinary delights, lambskin and beeswax products and more.

The Wendelstein men tell the legend of the Wendelstein man (at 4.30 p.m.).

The choir of the Bayrischzell elementary school sings, the music band Bayrischzell plays.

Irschenberg / Schliersee

The decision on a Christmas market in Irschenberg will be made next week, also in Schliersee.
