The government's decision regarding the program for dealing with crime and violence in Arab society is the largest multi-mechanism decision that has been brought to the government's table on this issue in years. "Today we approve the national plan to combat crime from the Arab sector, which, as we saw over the weekend, is flowing throughout the country," Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said today at the opening of the cabinet meeting.

"The plan amounts to an additional NIS 2.5 billion. I wish success in this matter to all government ministries. Justice Minister Gideon Saar said at a cabinet meeting that "there is a rule of fear in the Arab sector today. The goal must be to dismantle the criminal organizations. During the meeting, Saar noted the low percentage of offenses in the Arab sector from shootings to murders, adding that so far less than half of the funds allocated to the issue in the state budget have actually been used.

In addition, Saar suggested at the yeshiva "to go for a wide range of networking of Arab communities with street cameras."
