The Lady MacLehose Centre of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui earlier invited 18 children to explore the community needs of Shek Lei and Kwai Fong. It was found that there were insufficient age-appropriate play facilities in the area, and safety was too high to give priority to children’s preferences and needs. There were only two in the area. There are often long queues on public swings, making it impossible to play after getting into the dark. The government is encouraged to build amusement facilities on the rooftops of markets to respond to the needs of children in the area.
After collecting the opinions of children in the area, the "Do You Want Community Design" activity suggested re-planning the park design in Shek Lei and Kwai Fong District, such as adding playground components, sand, climbing facilities, etc.
