However, the current number of hospital admissions is usually higher than indicated in the hospitalization incidence. The complete values are often only available after one to two weeks.
The even sharper alarm level is called when the hospitalization incidence reaches or exceeds 12.0 on five working days in a row or the occupancy rate of the intensive care beds in Baden-Württemberg is 390 or more on two consecutive working days. Saturdays are not considered working days within the meaning of the Baden-Württemberg Corona Ordinance.
The seven-day incidence of new corona infections, on the other hand, continues to increase and reached a value of 142.5 on Sunday after 136.1 on the previous day.
This is significantly more than the nationwide corona incidence, which on Sunday became clearly three-digit again for the first time since May and reached a value of 106.3.
For comparison: on Sunday last week the incidence in the southwest was still 98.4.
The value indicates how many new infections with the coronavirus per 100,000 inhabitants were reported to the authorities within a week.
